Flowering Tree samples

I went out in my neighborhood and quickly spotted the flowering trees below. While all of the buds haven't boomed yet, there are plenty to please the eye. The pink flower bud is from an Eastern Redbud tree.  I believe the white flower bud is from a Flowering Dogwood tree.
I will be trying to identify some more trees over the next few weeks.

This weeks assignment was to find three apps that could be used in education. The three apps I found were:
Khan Academy
NASA
Today in History
Khahn Academy is an excellent tool to teach and reinforce many math, science, history and other educational topics.
NASA app allows students to explore many topics relating to the Earth and outer space.
Today in History is a good tool for students or teachers to use to stir interest or use as welcome work.
